Drivng on NZ Roads

I drove down to Manfeild on Friday and back today and made some observations as I was driving.

Why do people try and overtake vehicles in the passing lane doing just over 100K?

I saw a car run out of overtaking lane and end up on the other side of the road...lucky nothing was coming the other way.

IMHO better to go flat out and risk a ticket than do that.

Why do logging trucks think its ok to pass another logging truck on a passing lane with a line of cars behind them?

Why do other countries have a decent motorway between cities and we have a goat track, the section around Taupo is a joke.

I figure it will never happen.

Why is there no motorway past Hamilton?

I appreciate they need to do roadworks but SH 1 seems to be just one long line of cones and stop/go signs.

I was impressed with how quick a Porsche could overtake me and two trucks and just miss the oncoming truck by a couple of

seconds.:niceone:

If that's what its like all the time the road toll comes as no surprise really.

And that fecking Southern Motorway...

By the time I got home I was over driving only to find my drive blocked by...cones....

Anyway I'm still buzzing from riding and old bike fast....work should cure that tomorrow :weep:

Please don't reply Cassina as your a fuckwit.
